Students Interview SIS Instructor

  1. The students who interviewed Ms. Wang created some good open ended questions. I noticed that you did a short introduction leading to your questions. Why did you choose to do this instead of just asking one of the 5W's right away? Great job on the interview (it must have been really exciting and nerve wrecking). Ryan

  2. Wow! What a great job in completing the interview in such a short period of time. The interview sounded great and the responses were really thoughtful. I guess open ended questions do get answers that are meaningful. Again, great interview. Eric

  3. I really enjoyed having Ms. Wang come to our school to show and teach me about the principles of air. I really learned a lot from the experiments (for example: thrust, drag, lift and weight). I also really liked the part where we had the opportunity to design a propeller and see them spin on a wooden toy plane. It is amazing to be in the science side of the world. So if Ms. Wang ever does read this, I would likt to thank her along with Ms. Rambaran and Mrs. Tavares. Stephen

  4. Some great compliments about the interview from Ryan, Eric and Stephen. Thank you Chloe, Nicolas, Kyla and Christopher for working together to generate open ended questions that were well received by our guest. Also, you showed interest in the topic and the person you interviewed by sharing your thoughts about flight prior to asking your questions. This is a great way to keep your interviewee engaged and it also makes for a great podcast as you capture your listening audience. Your commitment to take on this new learning and in being student leaders in your class is admirable. Keep up the great work everyone! Ms. Tavares

  5. Great job on the interview you guys. It must have been hard to pick eight good questions that where easy to answer and wouldn't stump Ms.Wang.

  6. Cool interview! Good job on creating those interesting questions for the interview. What made the interview so enjoyable were the open ended questions because we learned about Ms. Wang's childhood. I also like the interview because I learned how she became a scientist and what her other job would be if she were not a scientist. Nathaniel

  7. I really loved that you all took your time to interview Ms Wang. I thought that it was really well done and that it was really cool to learn more about her. I think it would be cool if next year, the students could interview a different scientist teaching air & flight to see what the difference would be to the responses, if any. Shea

  8. I really learned a lot about Ms. Wang from that interview. I found it very interesting that she was my age when she became really interested in science. I also think that Shea's idea of interviewing a different Air and Flight teacher would really give us some insight, especially for students that were interested in a science career path. The interview was done really well! Great open ended questions! Sophie

  9. Wow, great interview! I really liked all the questions that were asked, because they were open-ended and Ms. Wang could provide lots of info for each. Also, it was really interesting to learn about how she became interested in Science. My favourite experiment that we did with her was making the paper planes because we worked with drag, lift, thrust, and weight, and we learned about how different parts of a plane worked. What was yours? Anyways great interview! -Maya
